Charleston Treehouse is a family-run retreat built from our love of the Lowcountry and the quiet beauty of the marsh. After years of working and raising our family here in the Charleston area, we wanted to create a place where people could truly slow down, unplug, and enjoy Charleston in a more personal way. This is not a corporate rental or a large portfolio of homes — it is one special property that we care for hands-on and take pride in maintaining to the highest standard.
Set on a private marsh-front lot on Johns Island, the treehouse looks out over tidal marsh, ancient live oaks draped in Spanish moss, and the wildlife that makes the South Carolina Lowcountry so remarkable — great blue herons, white egrets, fiddler crabs, and the occasional fox. A wall of floor-to-ceiling windows and a sweeping private deck put the landscape front and center, whether you are sipping morning coffee or watching the marsh light shift at golden hour.
Johns Island is the perfect base for exploring the greater Charleston area. Downtown Charleston's historic district, King Street dining, and Rainbow Row are just 15 minutes away. Kiawah Island's pristine beaches are 25 minutes south. Folly Beach, with its laid-back surf culture and boardwalk, is 25 minutes away. And the legendary Angel Oak — one of the oldest living trees in the eastern United States — is a 10-minute drive. You get the quiet of nature and the full richness of Charleston, all from the same front door.

This is a self check-in private stay designed to be simple and stress free. The treehouse is professionally cleaned, fully stocked, and prepared before every arrival, with complimentary wine, snacks, coffee, and tea included so everything you need is ready when you arrive.
